Ajay Agarwal
Ajay Agarwal is a Managing Director at Bain Capital Ventures. He joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2003. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Mr. Agarwal spent over seven years as a senior executive at Trilogy Software, a privately-held enterprise software company based in Austin, Texas. As head of sales and marketing, Mr. Agarwal grew Trilogy’s annual revenues to $300 million and led Trilogy’s product expansion into new areas such as enterprise pricing and enterprise incentive management. Prior to Trilogy, Mr. Agarwal was a consultant with the Los Angeles office of McKinsey & Company.
Mr. Agarwal holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Agarwal holds a patent for the "Method and Apparatus of Configuration Solutions."
Maria Cirino
As a co-founder and Managing Director of .406 Ventures, Maria brings 23 years of entrepreneurial, operating and senior management sales and marketing experience in venture-backed technology companies, with particular strengths in IT security and technology driven services (e.g. managed services, software as a service etc.). Maria focuses on investments in the IT Infrastructure and Security industry. She is actively involved as an investor and board member in Bit9, Digitalsmiths, Kaltura, Memento and Veracode. Prior to founding .406, she was Senior Vice President of VeriSign, following its 2005 $144 million acquisition of Guardent - a Sequoia, CRV and NEA backed IT security company that Maria co-founded and led as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Prior to Guardent, she was Senior Vice President for sales and marketing at i-Cube, an IT services company, which was acquired by Razorfish in 1999 for $1.8 billion. From 1993 to 1997, she was responsible for North American sales at Shiva, the category creating remote access company. Maria has received numerous industry awards and honors including "Massachusetts CEO of the Year 2004" and Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year 2003." Additionally, Maria was named one of the top 25 women in Information Security by Information Security Magazine and inducted by Women's Business Magazine into the "Women's Business Hall of Fame." She holds a BA in English from Mount Holyoke College, where she served as a Trustee from 2003-2008 and where she currently serves on the Investment Committee.
John M. Connolly
John is with Bain Capital Ventures as an Operating Partner. His focus is on partnering with a number of CEO's and management teams across BCV's portfolio companies to address strategic and operational issues. John brings over 20 years of proven track record of vision, innovation, and execution to create successful businesses. During his tenure, he raised over $100 million dollars and created over $1 billion dollars in shareholder value. Connolly currently serves as Chairman of M/C Communications. He was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of M|C Communications from March 2007 through July of 2009. Prior to M|C, Connolly was President and Chief Executive Officer of Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS). During his tenure, ISS doubled in revenues and realized 250% increase in profit over three years. This phenomenal growth ultimately led to the sale of ISS to the RiskMetrics Group for $560 million in early 2006.
Previously, Connolly founded Mainspring Inc, a provider of strategic consulting, research, and advisory services to Fortune 1000 companies. Under his leadership, Mainspring grew from a start up to a publicly traded company and was ultimately purchased by IBM in June, 2001. At IBM, Mr. Connolly built a world class strategy and consulting practice which eventually led to the creation of IBM business consulting where he served as the Global General Manager. Prior to founding Mainspring, Mr. Connolly founded Course Technology which was sold to Thomson Media.
Jason Henrichs
Jason Henrichs is Managing Director of Rock Maple Ventures, a specialized venture capital group that focuses on smaller ($1-3 million) capital-efficient businesses in the IT and medical technology areas. Jason is a proven entrepreneur with a history of success with a wide range of start-up ventures. He has wide-ranging expertise in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, energy, materials, and other areas. Before joining Rock Maple Ventures, Jason served as Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Genomics, a $45 million, venture-backed developer of DNA sequencing technologies. He also co-founded ctr!Ventures, a conception-stage venture capital firm.
BC Krishna
BC is a technologist and entrepreneur skilled at turning innovative software solutions into industry-leading companies. He founded Memento in 2003 after identifying the high-value business opportunity to help enterprises systematically address the long-known issue of internal fraud and inappropriate activities by insiders. In 1995, BC founded FutureTense — the company that helped define the Content Management software category — and was part of the management team that led it to nearly $100 million in revenue. Following the acquisition of FutureTense by publicly traded Open Market, he served as Open Market’s Chief Technology Officer, as well as a Board Member. From 1987 to 1995, BC was a Principal Software Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation.
BC holds an M.S. in Visual Studies from the MIT Media Lab, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India. He speaks at leading industry events and conferences, and is an avid reader, runner, and squash player.
John O'Malley
John O’Malley, CEO of Memento, Inc., is an expert in developing high performing companies and helping financial institutions solve important business challenges. His broad execution, leadership and strategic planning skills have helped Mr. O’Malley drive innovation and operational excellence at several influential financial services technology companies. Prior to joining Memento, John served as President and CEO of Harland Financial Solutions, where he grew the business from $17M to over $300M. Additionally, John’s leadership led to significant growth at Fiserv where he served as President of the CBS Division and also at Hogan Systems (acquired by Computer Sciences Corp.) where he was Executive Vice President of International Operations.
John holds a computer science degree from New York University.
