Bank Employee Facing Fraud Charges

Police arrested a Jacksonville bank employee on Friday for what detectives described as a scheme to defraud Wachovia of thousands of dollars transferred through several accounts into that of a woman who made off with the money. Taveras S. Leonard, 33, of Jacksonville was charged with bank fraud after a bank security official notified police of suspicious activity, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. The police report lists Leonard as an employee at a Wachovia call center on Deerwood Park Boulevard.
