Ex-USC trustee pleads guilty to bank fraud

A former University of South Carolina trustee has pleaded guilty to federal bank fraud charges and filing a false tax return. The Greenville News reported Wednesday that Samuel Foster II pleaded guilty in federal court as part of an agreement with prosecutors. He is awaiting sentencing and remains free on $25,000 bond. Authorities say Foster participated in a kickback scheme with an executive of BB&T.
