Seattle Postal Worker Charged With Fraud

Trevor L. McBee was charged Friday in U.S. District Court in Seattle with mail theft and bank fraud. In early July, a postal inspector discovered that McBee had been depositing stolen business checks into his wife's bank account since March, the charges say. The checks were bound for various businesses in the Interbay area. Court documents say that in some cases, McBee forged the name of the payee on the back of the check as endorsement. And in other cases, he altered the payee on the checks to include his wife's name, then he endorsed the checks by forging her name on the back, the documents say. All the checks were deposited into his wife's account via ATMs. Posted in: Check Fraud
