Two N.C. women have been sentenced for conspiracy to commit bank fraud in Myrtle Beach, according to U.S. Attorney W.Walter Wilkins. Teresa Halsey Windham, 39, and Doris Gardner Canty, 54, both of Wilmington, N.C., were sentenced in Florence court. Windham and Canty pleaded guilty to conspiring to make and pass counterfeit commercial checks with the intent to commit bank fraud, Wilkins said.
