A 67-year-old woman who has two prior convictions for insurance fraud and tax evasion in Arizona was sentenced Wednesday to six and a half years in prison for embezzling $12,820 from an Alamogordo couple. Carole A. Rasco was sentenced to three years for embezzlement, a third-degree felony; 18 months for unauthorized withdrawal from a bank account, a fourth-degree felony; and two years for two counts of misdemeanor unauthorized withdrawal from a bank account.
