Woman sentenced on fraud, identity theft charges

An Ames woman has been sentenced to three years in federal prison on bank fraud and identity theft charges. Jennifer Wheelock-Armstrong, 30, was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Des Moines. She also was ordered to pay more than $25,000 restitution. Court records show she used stolen identification documents to conduct unauthorized transactions on accounts at U.S. Bank and Greater Iowa Community Credit Union.
