For at least a couple of years, Derico Fuller lived the high life, driving an expensive, tricked-out BMW and raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars of easy money. At the heart of the 29-year-old Lynnwood man's enterprise was the fact that he recruited dozens of vulnerable, younger friends to hand over their bank accounts so he could use counterfeit payroll checks to make deposits, then withdraw the money before the banks noticed the checks were bogus.
