York seeks identity of woman suspected of check fraud

York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office investigators are trying to identify a woman who is suspected of cashing stolen checks using someone else's identification on several dates in April. The checks were stolen from a victim in Virginia Beach, forged and cashed at a York County bank using identification stolen from another victim in Newport News, according to Sgt. Dennis Ivey, an investigator with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office.
