Three men and a woman used identity theft to get access to the credit-card accounts of more than 50 people at Bank of America and Citibank and then ran up more than $500,000 in bills at casinos, retail stores and car service centers, according to a federal indictment.
The 32-count indictment, which was unsealed Wednesday, alleges that Eric Snead, 32, Harry Gonzalez, 43, Norma Danzot, 40, and Kenneth Muniz, 21, all of Providence, caused Bank of America to lose more than $300,000 and Citibank more than $200,000. They are accused of using duplicate credit cards to obtain cash, traveler's checks and merchandise at a variety of locales including casinos in Connecticut, New Jersey and Nevada.
