Ex-Memorial Hermann employee stole patients' identities

A former patient care assistant at Memorial Hermann Hospital is facing charges of identity theft and bank fraud. Nakeshia Brown, 29, was arrested Friday at her home by special agents of the U.S. Secret Service. She pleaded not guilty before a federal magistrate on Monday afternoon and was released on an unsecured $100,000 bond. According to the indictment, Brown used her position at the hospital to steal patients' personal information and then applied for credit cards without their consent.
