Maryville businessman sentenced to 5 years for bank fraud

A Maryville businessman was sentenced Wednesday for nearly 17 million worth of bank fraud. Edwin Whitehouse, 47, pleaded guilty in January to defrauding three area banks, Regions Bank, BankEast, and Clayton Bank and Trust, by obtaining loans based on bogus collateral.
