A Molalla man is facing criminal charges in connection with a check forgery scheme that may have bilked Clackamas and Marion county building-supply stores out of $20,000.
Morse was arrested Tuesday by Hubbard police and Marion County sheriff's deputies after investigators obtained evidence that Morse was using a fictitious Oregon driver's license and counterfeit checks at building-supply stores. Morse was linked to several checks ranging from $4,000 to $5,000, police said.
