Business owner charged in check-cashing scam

A 47-year-old Sussex County business owner was charged in connection with a June check-cashing scam that allegedly netted him more that $26,000 in cash, police said today. Randy L. Wroten, of the 10000 block of Rifle Range Road near Bridgeville, was charged with four counts of felony theft by false pretense over $1,000.
