Philadelphia man gets 41 months in fraud scheme

A Philadelphia man was sentenced yesterday in a scheme that defrauded small-business owners and religious leaders, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. Arthur Jenkins, 59, also known as Bishop Jenkins and Reverend Jenkins, was sentenced to 41 months in prison for four counts of bank fraud and four counts of passing counterfeit securities, U.S. Attorney Michael L. Levy said in a news release. Jenkins pleaded guilty in October 2008.
