Four high school pals have been charged with communications fraud, accused of bouncing thousands of dollars in bad checks on empty accounts in Riverdale. "They opened the accounts, then wrote checks for thousands and thousands of dollars as fast as they could," Riverdale Police Lt. Jim Ebert said. "They tried to do it as quickly as possible before the banks closed the checking accounts for insufficient funds."
