Bulgarian gets prison for ATM fraud in Atlanta

A Bulgarian man will go to federal prison for four and a half years for stealing bank card numbers and passwords through a skimming device he and a partner connected to Bank of America ATM's in metro Atlanta. Yordan Kavaklov also must pay $64,876 in restitution. He was convicted of multiple felony charges on July 2, after pleading guilty to conspiracy, access device fraud, and aggravated identity theft. His Bulgarian co-defendant, Nikolay Nikolov, also pleaded guilty and is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 30.
