A Murphy man has been arrested and charged with identity theft and bank fraud. Clifford W. Robertson was arrested Friday by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and will have an initial hearing on Wednesday to face the charges. U.S. District Attorney John Bales of the Eastern District of Texas said in a statement that Robertson, 43, used a fake identity to gain financing from a bank.
