A Brooklyn real estate developer arrested in last summer's massive FBI sting pleaded guilty today in federal court in Newark to helping conceal bank fraud proceeds. Shimon Haber, 34, told a federal judge he worked with a Monmouth County developer in 2007 to hide money from his bankruptcy proceedings as part of a scheme to bribe a Union City official in exchange for building approvals.The Monmouth County developer, however, was secretely working as a goverment infomant. His name is Solomon Dwek, and he spent years secretly recording conversations with rabbis who supposedly laundered money and public officials who allegedly took bribes.Haber was arrested in July as part of the probe. Initially, 44 people were charged, including two state legislators, three mayor and five rabbis from congregations in Brooklyn and New Jersey.
