Elkton man admits to federal wire fraud

An Elkton businessman admitted Wednesday in federal court to defrauding other people out of "hundreds of thousands of dollars" under the claim that the money would be invested in collector vehicles, according to prosecutors. Fred M. Engelhart, 57, pleaded guilty to a single count of wire fraud that was part of a federal indictment filed against him Nov. 17, according the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minneapolis.
