Ex-bank worker ordered imprisoned for embezzlement

A former southern Illinois bank worker who admits stealing more than $174,000 on the job largely to cover pilfering from a school charity is headed to prison. A federal judge in East St. Louis has sentenced 38-year-old Michelle Knebel of Pocahantas to two years and nine months behind bars. She also must pay $149,622 in restitution.
