Former Star Valley man accused of check fraud

A former Star Valley man was charged Wednesday with writing more than $107,500 in bad checks to steal $11,822 from First Interstate Bank. James Sorensen, 57, is accused of stealing the money by using a practice called check kiting, said Jackson police Cpl. Russell Ruschill. Sorensen is charged with two counts of felony check fraud.
