St. Rose, LaPlace women plead guilty to federal fraud charges

A St. Rose woman pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to trying to defraud a bank, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. And in an unrelated case, a LaPlace woman pleaded guilty to wire fraud in connection with financial assistance applications she submitted to the Red Cross. Katherine Charles, 51, of St. Rose pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Jim Letten's office.
