Two men face numerous charges thanks to a sharp-eyed sub shop owner who allegedly caught the pair in the act of debit card scamming at his business east of Toronto. Durham Regional Police claim two men entered a Subway sandwich location in Newcastle, on Hwy. 35/115, around 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 4. One man allegedly distracted the employee while the other swapped the debit card pinpad with a decoy, which police claim was rigged to steal debit card info.
