LeRoy C. Burlingame is facing felony charges after he was accused of stealing money from a Chenango County fire department. The sheriff's office was assisted by members of the NBT Bank Fraud and Security Department and the Plymouth Fire Department in the investigation. Burlingame is accused of forging several checks and stealing more than $4,000 in cash from the Plymouth Fire Department's bank accounts while he was the department's president and treasurer in 2009.
