Huber woman pleads guilty to bank fraud

Wanda Fox, 67, of Huber Heights, pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud in connection a scheme in which she embezzled approximately $478,287 belonging to Antioch Shrine, a charitable organization located in Dayton Ohio. According to the statement of facts filed in Court, Fox, using a check writing computer software program at the Antioch office where she worked, fraudulently created approximately 192 checks in various amounts totaling approximately $468,287 from the period of April 2002 until August 2009.
Fox fraudulently created the checks without the knowledge or authorization of Antioch Shrine and then traveled to various National City Bank branches located in the Dayton, Ohio area where she negotiated the checks by either depositing them into a personal checking account she maintained at National City Bank or by simply cashing them.
