Ron Molano Taitano, 25, of Rancho Cordova, has pleaded guilty to bank fraud and theft of U.S. mail, according to U.S. Attorney Benjamin Wagner. Mr. Taitano and his accomplices stole more than 400 items of U.S. mail from postal vehicles parked in Sacramento County neighborhoods while carriers were delivering mail according to court documents. He used the checks and financial instruments contained within the stolen mail to defraud banks and to trade for cash, drugs, and other services.
