Former bank president and developers indicted on bank fraud charges

A former bank president, vice president and two real estate developers have been accused of bank fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud, federal prosecutors said. A 16-cound indictment was unsealed in U.S. District Court in McAllen today, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. According to the indictment, Arsenio Alfaro had been president of Texas National Bank, based in Mercedes, while Elizabeth Aguirre was vice president and loan officer.
