8th Fraud Charge for RI State Senator

State senator and real estate attorney Christopher B. Maselli has been charged with another count of mortgage fraud, the Target 12 Investigators have learned. Maselli, a two-term Democrat from Johnston, is now facing eight counts of bank fraud. Federal prosecutors say the 38-year-old falsified bank and tax documents and lied about income in order to obtain $1.7 million worth of loans - up from a previous estimate of $1.5 million.
