A Mexico resident convicted in a scheme to cash stolen U.S. Treasury checks by using false identification will spend almost six years in federal prison. Chief U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull on Thursday sentenced Salvador Reyes, 50, to 70 months for his conviction on conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. Reyes and four others were convicted in the scheme that netted them about $81,000.
