Two York Region residents were arrested following a two-month investigation into organized crime activity related to bank machines in southern Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
Police services including York, Durham Niagara and the Ontario Provincial Police worked with the Canadian Border Services Agency that targeted Eastern Europeans who were believed to be tampering with ATMs in order to skim payment card data, police said.
