Former Accountant Convicted of Stealing from Georgetown University Credit Union

Reginald A. Clark, 41, of Washington, D.C., was convicted by a jury today of federal charges stemming from the theft of nearly $220,000 from Hoya Federal Credit Union, announced U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen Jr., James W. McJunkin, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, and Cathy L. Lanier, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). Clark, who had been employed as an accountant for the credit union, was convicted of taking advantage of the credit union’s internal computer system to steal the money between 2001 and 2003. He was convicted of bank fraud, wire fraud, and making false entries in federal credit institution records following a trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
