Brothers plead guilty to money laundering and fraud

Two Mississippi brothers pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal money laundering and bank fraud in connection with a multistate, multimillion-dollar land scheme. Charles Evans, 57, and Chris Evans, 53, obtained multiple loans on property in Madison County, the Gulf Coast, Southaven and Texas. The scheme included at least $41 million in contested loans from about 50 lenders.
