Five arrested in ATM fraud case

Five men originally from Bulgaria have been arrested and charged with using “skimmer” devices on ATM machines at several Citizens Bank and Wells Fargo Ban branches in Springfield, Lower Providence and Lower Merion townships in Montgomery County as well as West Whiteland Township in Chester County, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. The five are accused of stealing bank customers’ information to make withdrawals from the victims’ accounts between Oct. 1 and Dec. 23, 2010, the DA’s office said.
