Gretna woman charged with bank fraud

State police say a 50-year-old Gretna woman has been booked with one court of bank fraud. In a news release, troopers say Kerrol Urdaneta was arrested late last week. Investigators say Urdaneta allegedly deposited numerous fraudulent check from closed banks accounts into her Regions Bank account. After depositing the funds, troopers say Urdaneta withdraw the funds before the check were cleared and, as a result, Regions Bank lost more than $16,000.
