A former hospital executive pleaded guilty Wednesday to creating shell companies with virtual offices to embezzle $1.7 million from his employer, even as his salary rose above $700,000.
Roosevelt Hairston Jr. used his position as general counsel to defraud Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Gray said.
