Woman gets 9 months for check fraud

A Hancock woman was sentenced to nine months in jail for check fraud in the Houghton County Circuit Court Friday.
Jennifer Nettell, 28, pleaded guilty in June to uttering and publishing, a 14-year felony. Along with that plea, numerous other charges were dismissed. However, she will still have to pay restitution on all charges - $31,025.02.
