7 felony counts for check fraud

A Roanoke Rapids woman is facing seven felony counts related to checking account fraud.
Det. Sgt. Joe Puhak, of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, said an investigation began May 23 when the department received word a Halifax County resident’s checking account had been defrauded of “an unsaid amount of money.”
