Alpharetta-based company reports $94,000 check fraud

Kaplan Inc. has reported that a check in the amount of $93,710 that was made out to one of its vendors had been altered and deposited, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.
The altered check was deposited to a SunTrust checking account in Georgia, according to the complainant, 1015 Windward Ridge Parkway in south Forsyth County.
