Bookkeeper embezzled 659K from Texas companies

A woman who for decades kept the books for some Texas energy companies is going to prison for stealing $659,000 from them. Prosecutors in Corpus Christi on Thursday announced Constance Bexley Iwanski has been sentenced to 27 months in prison in the check scam. A federal judge Wednesday sentenced Iwanski and also ordered her to pay restitution. She previously pleaded guilty to bank fraud counts over embezzlement since the end of 2002. Prosecutors say that she wrote more than 100 bogus checks to herself.
