Massive credit and debit scam uncovered in Durham Region

Stopping a speeding vehicle in Oshawa led to breaking a fake credit and debit card ring that smuggled people into Canada. Durham Regional Police Chief Mike Ewles said a cop on routine patrol stopped a fast moving car in April 2010 and found the driver possessing a quantity of fake credit cards that sent the “investigation spiralling.”
