Scholfield charged with bank fraud

A Wausau insurance company executive was charged in U.S. District Court today for his role in a $3.7 million bank scam. David Scholfield, the former owner of Manson Insurance, faces one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud. The FBI has been investigating Manson, which since has been sold to River Valley Bank, since it raided Manson’s offices in June and seized mounds of documents, computer data and other records.
