Three DeKalb residents have been charged with identity theft as a result of an investigation into the reported use of a fraudulent check at a credit union.
Police say Jasmine Brewer, 19, of the 1700 block of Lucinda Ave. in DeKalb, opened a savings account Monday with Illinois Community Credit Union in DeKalb. The next day, she reportedly attempted to cash a check from Professional National Title Network.
