May 3, 2011
Total Loss:
$77,000
A former Coast Bank executive awaiting sentencing for wire fraud now is facing accusations that he helped financially exploit an elderly Bradenton woman, court records show.
Philip W. Coon and several of his family members conspired to take more than $77,000 from an incapacitated family friend, the friend’s daughter contends in a lawsuit filed earlier this week. The daughter, Mary Ann Watson, also is accusing Coon and his family of hiding assets in violation of his plea agreement with federal prosecutors.
