Six charged with ID theft and bank fraud involving Crown Point and Gary banks

Six Illinois residents have been charged in Hammond federal court with identification theft and fraud at banks and retail stores in Indiana and Illinois.
In an indictment unsealed Wednesday, the group was charged with using false birth documents and Social Security information to get numerous Indiana ID cards and committing fraud at 10 banks.
