Woman pleads guilty to defrauding government of more than $400,000

A Montgomery woman who had tens of thousands of stolen identities at her home pleaded guilty Monday to defrauding the government of between $400,000 and $1 million.
Melinda Clayton pleaded guilty to filing false claims, wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. The fraud involved at least 250 victims, according to the Justice Department and the Internal Revenue Service.
